 Abstract

This book entitled "Comparative Education: From Global Educational Reform Perspectives" not only covers a wide range of theoretical and methodological issues in comparative education,but also places an emphasis on education policies and practices in over 20 countries such as China, Germany, Israel and the US. Discussions include the effects of globalization,religion and the education status in underdeveloped countries, to name only a few. Through this book, the author sincerely hopes her research efforts might assist in reforming and improving Taiwan's education system globally.


About the author
Chuing Prudence Chou is the author of "Love from New Zealand",  "The Great Experiment of Taiwanese Education",and "Mr. President, How Are You Going to Deal with Education in Taiwan?" Her name appears among numerous articles circulating within the Taiwanese community, as she expresses her sincere care for the local and global education issues. She is currently a professor at the National Cheng-Chi University of Taiwan,  where she specializes in comparative education and tertiary/higher education in China.A devout Christian and a mother of two, she can always be found trying her best  to make the world a better place.
