A
study aims at realizing how elementary principals manage intra-school public relation and the school organizational culture
The
study aims at realizing the contents and actualities regarding how elementary principals manage intra-school public relation and the school organizational culture and inquiring the interrelation; accordingly, the recommendations are proposed in accordance with the research findings.
In the first place, the literature review is processed as the theoretical fundamental; afterwards, the interviews with 10 principals regarding onsite practices are the references to the questionnaires. The questionnaire survey with educational members (principals, directors, chiefs, teachers and technicians) in public elementary schools in Taipei City is carried out via stratified random sampling and purposive sampling. 703 copies of questionnaires are delivered with 620 valid copies retrieved. The analysis and discussion of data are processed through statistic methods like mean, standard deviation, t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment analysis and regression analysis. The findings are concluded as:
1.The current actualities regarding how elementary principals in Taipei City manage intra-school public relation are good with the best performance on Information Delivery. The points of 4-point scale are 2.96-3.31, a middle-high level.
2.The current actualities regarding the school organizational culture of elementary schools in Taipei City are good with the positive development. The points of 4-point scale are 3.31-3.36, a high level.
3.There is a difference regarding the points of Elementary Principals in Taipei City Manage Intra-School Public Relation Scale with the diversity of school members in [genders, ages, service seniority, position, school standard and school location].
4.There is a difference regarding the points of School Organizational Culture of Elementary Schools in Taipei City Scale with the diversity of school members in [ages, service seniority, position, school history, school standard and school location].
5.There is a highly close positive correlation between intra-school public relation and entire school organizational culture and all levels, i.e. the higher performance of intra-school public relation renders a better school organizational culture.
6.Intra-school public relation has a high predictive effect on school organizational culture.
Finally, in accordance with research findings, the relevant recommendations are proposed as the references to the educational administration offices, principals and members in elementary schools and further researchers.
