「全球化下的文化傳承」議題，乃從政治經濟到社會價值觀、宇宙觀等角度，來重新探討、定位傳統文化與價值觀以及生活規範。回顧20世紀「現代化」與「國際化」運動時，當代的全球化趨勢有其發展軌道上的必然性與偶然性。全球化對各區域的民族文化造成巨大衝擊，也帶來一種創造新思維的機會。21世紀全球化世界乃是人類從日常生活經驗與反思中所認知到的回饋全球一體的概念。本學程依此主旨，以跨領域人文與社會科學整合方式，講授文化傳承與其區域文化之新生，藉此課程拓展學生的全球化視野為目的。

　　本學程的基礎課程以基本文獻簡介、理論方法概論等為核心，幫助學生了解各學科之整體概況，以利銜接進階課程。進階課程則著重培養學生分析研究資料、研究實作訓練，以及整合各學科等能力，希冀學生具備獨立研究之基礎與多學科社群整合之經驗。本學程無論基礎或進階課程，內容皆涵蓋理論與區域文化兩大領域。總而言之，從民族、社會、區域文化差異等角度，講解東西傳統文化在全球化衝擊下所受的影響及文化創新的軌跡，進行整合型教學與展望。

　　The topic, “the globalization of the cultural pass-down,” re-delineates and explicates the traditional culture, viewpoints of value and life restrictions from the perspective of politics, economy, the idea of social values and cosmos, and the like. Retrospectively, when the activities of “modernization” and “internationalization” took place in the 20th century, the tendency of the contemporary globalization had necessarily and occasionally gained momentum. Globalization exerts a great influence on different ethnic cultures; nevertheless, it gives rise to the opportunity of creating new ideas. In the 21st century, the concept of globalization, however, concerns the human beings’ dedication to the world from their everyday experiences and self-examinations. This program, building on this concept, teaches the cultural pass-down and its new-born cultures, and aims to widen students’ view of globalization in terms of the interdisciplinary integration of arts and social science.

　　The basic courses of this program focus on literature reviews and theoretical methods. Equipped with the basics, students can get the holistic picture of respective disciplines, so that they can move on to the advanced courses, which expect to cultivate the students’ ability to analyze research materials and engage in practicum, and the ability to combine interdisciplinary studies. We hope that students are armed with the fundamental ability to do the individual research, and are experienced in integration of respective disciplines.
